It was one fine easy evening when Mrs. Kaaita decided to call me. She saw aleksandrabrlan shibori top that Darja wore and I guess that was a point ... well a point of no return. We met and talked and talked about life, kids, business, design and at the end we just new we are at the beginning of a beautyful friendship! 

 

Alenka wanted me to develop a new textile product for her manufacture Kaaita and my objectives were set:

 

- to produce an item that has a positive effect on everyday life

- sustainability

- simplicity

- fun

- strong identity

- inspiring story

 

Soon some ideas followed and meetings and analythic thoughts. Basically the mission was getting more and more clear: to design a new item from the Kaaita felt slippers production leftovers. I must admit I love this kind of missions, when there are some given facts that you cannot bypass. In this case I was faced with thick ribbons of poyester felt and I was provoked. I like provocative stuff. I myself like to be provocative. So I understand when someone or something provokes me. I feel good when being in the state of provocativeness.

 

The process is not finished yet, since I had to postpone it to finish my faculty projects. So be prepared for some interesting stuff to follow the research state!
